William Hill Vegas’s Casino Poker is a poker game with a twist: you can place a side bet for a chance to win one of our huge progressive jackpots!
Otherwise, this Vegas-style card game is based on the popular casino game. Casino Poker is played with a standard deck of 52 cards, shuffled at the start of each game.
The aim of Casino Poker is to beat the dealer’s hand to win. The result and the amount you can win depend on the value of your hand. In addition, you can place a side bet on the progressive jackpot for a chance to win big money!
Placing Your Bets
Call or Fold
Progressive Jackpot game
First you need to cash in to buy your chips for the game.
Choose your stake from the selection of chips at the bottom left of the screen.
To place your chip(s) on the table, click in the square ‘ANTE’ bet area.
A chip will be placed in the bet area every time you click on it.
If you wish to play the progressive Jackpot, place a £1 chip in the progressive jackpot slot on the table.
Placing Your BetsTOP
You may place as many chips as you like on the bet area (ANTE), provided that you will still have enough chips remaining to place a CALL bet during the game, and provided that you do not exceed the maximum stake, which is £500 (the minimum stake is 10p).
You may choose different stakes for each of your bets – just select a new chip value or place multiple chips on each bet area.
The total amount you have staked will be shown in the ‘Total Stake’ box at the bottom right of the screen.
If you press the ‘Double Bet’ button, the total bet you have placed so far will be doubled.
Press ‘Undo’ to undo your last action – so if you removed a chip from the table, ‘Undo’ will replace it, or if you just pressed ‘Double Bet’ then ‘Undo’ will remove those chips you just added.
If you change your mind and want to start again, press ‘Clear All Bets’ to remove all chips from the table.
Once you are happy with your bets, press ‘Deal’ to play the game. Once you have pressed ‘Deal’, you cannot cancel your bets.
Switch on ‘Turbo Bet’ before you press ‘Deal’ if you want the cards to be displayed instantly without viewing the animation of the cards being dealt from the shoe.
Call or FoldTOP
Once you press ‘Deal’, five cards each will be dealt to you and to the Dealer. The Dealer’s cards will be dealt face down apart from the last card.
Once each hand has been dealt, you will be given the option to Call or Fold.
If you choose to CALL then a stake equal to double your ANTE bet is automatically placed on the CALL bet area and deducted from your chip balance.
If you choose to FOLD, you will forfeit your cards and your stake and the game will end.
Once you have selected CALL or FOLD, the Dealer’s hand is turned face up and the result will now be displayed.
The Dealer needs a hand including at least a King and an Ace in order to qualify to play.
If the Dealer qualifies, then your hand is compared with the Dealer’s and the best hand wins the game.
If you win, your winnings are paid to you at this point or your stake removed if you lose. See the Payout Table below for payouts.
If the Dealer does not qualify, you win the ANTE bet but the CALL bet is a push, so you will be paid out on the ANTE and your CALL stake will be returned to you.
If the Dealer qualifies but your hand is better, then you win both the ANTE and CALL bets.
If the Dealer qualifies and the hands are tied, then the game is a push, so both your ANTE and PLAY stakes are returned to you.
If the Dealer qualifies and beats your hand, then you lose both your ANTE and CALL stakes.
See below for an explanation of how the progressive Jackpot works.
If you wish to enter the progressive Jackpot, you must place a £1 chip in the slot before you press ‘Deal’.
The first time you play the Jackpot, you will be asked if you want to automatically place your side bet for every game. You can also change this setting using the ‘OPTIONS’ menu.
The full Jackpot amount is paid out only if your hand is a Royal Flush. It will be paid in addition to the 200-1 payout for your hand.
If your hand is a Straight Flush, you will win 10% of the current Jackpot value.
Four Of A Kind, Full House and Flush are all paid out of the Jackpot, at the set amounts of £500, £100 and £50 respectively
A Jackpot win is not paid out in chips but is paid directly to your account balance – you will then need to contact Customer Services to arrange how to go about withdrawing the funds from your account.
If you are dealt a Royal Flush or Straight Flush, the game will automatically CALL for you so that you cannot accidentally fold and lose your Jackpot win.
In the event of a communication error after a progressive win result has been determined and before it has been displayed on screen, the win amount will automatically be transferred to the player’s account.
In the event of the jackpot being won, other players playing the game simultaneously will be informed of the new jackpot value and offered the option to void the present bet. This is only relevant if the other players start the game within 1 second of the jackpot being won.
Whilst the game is live the jackpot can only be terminated if the value of the jackpot is zero. If the game is removed the outstanding pool amount can be transferred to another jackpot or retained by the operator.
The administration of the jackpot is at the discretion of William Hill.
